She was one of those friends who you never forget, and miss like the sun - & it made me feel sad that I'm not able to go visit home and check out her new digs (she bought an old school house in this adorable, out-of-the-way bay where tourists don't go, and all you can hear is the beach all day and all night!). It always makes me sad to think that even though I have wonderful friends here in the States, I can't merge them with the ones I grew up with. And those friends are always the ones that you never replace.
Although I do have one or two friends here now that are dying to go back to New Zealand with me to trip around the country and be laid back, so all I need to do now is get us all together, and we can have some wicked "Girls Night Outs"!
So this post was a quick tribute to Toni, my best New Zealand friend, who I love and miss very much!
This is a shot of Curio Bay and yes, you can swim with dolphins. *ahhh* to go back .....
Tomorrow I'll be posting more giveaways and reviews - so make sure you come back for those - and don't forget to enter the great ones I have going right now with the fantastic companies who graciously agreed to work with me.

That would be so cool! ...and I will be back tomorrow to check out your giveaways!
I'd be useless if I could live by the serenity of the beach and swim with the dolphins. Yup, call me done.
Friends are the family we only wish we had. Your post made me pick up the phone and call my bestie. Thank you :)
Hi there! Stopping by from MBC FFF! Happy Wednesday!!
There is something special about friends you grew up with. They can never be replaced!
What a beautiful picture! I love New Zealand (well of what I've seen in movies & on TV...never been). I do though know that feeling of missing someone.
When we moved from NYC to MD it was very hard. I left a lot of good friends. I miss them greatly sometimes...I feel your pain. Sniff, sniff. Hmmm need chocolate to comfort (hubby is asleep)
What a beautiful picture. I always dreamed of visiting New Zealand. One of these years I will make it there.
I hope you get to go home soon.
Wow sounds like she has got quite the place - it's nice though that there are phones and email and things like that these days, I am so thankful that we can keep up with friends no matter how far away they live.
I love connecting with old friends also.
I came over from MBC! I am now following you.
