Personally Forever Hand-Stamped Personalized Necklace Giveaway! (with a bonus prize!)

I came across Personally Forever as I was trekking through one of my many wanderings on Etsy, and was immediately intrigued with the range of Hand Stamped jewelery that was offered.

Owned & operated by Rachel, a recent Grad student from Indiana University, the entire store has everything from initals, to names, to sayings - and they come with charms, or without. It's a 'customizators' (I think that's a word, but you know what I mean) paradise!

The pendant I was sent, had my daughters name stamped into it, & is beautiful. I couldn't have been more pleased, it was simple, elegant and personal.

Hand-stamped pendants are becoming something of a hobby of mine, and I really like what Rachel has to offer, her selection is absolutely astounding!

She has everything from Pendants with initals, to Swarovski crystal birth necklaces (in every month), Team sports necklaces (customized, naturally), Faith necklaces - she has round pendants and rectangle ones - her extensive list goes on and on!

You can add "discs" to your necklace choice, rectangle or round - it doesn't matter - Personally Forever has really gone to a lot of trouble to bring the widest range of options possible to their customers.

I was most impressed with how Rachel has managed to 'mix-n-match' colors, charms, shapes and chains to create such a variety of customization - there really is a wide selection and you will find what you want in her store!

I received the personalized round necklace from Personally Forever to review & it arrived quickly,  Rachel offers free USPS First Class Mail, to the US only (unless you request a different service) - but she also ships internationally as well. I've never encountered a store that offers free shipping before, so I was duly impressed.

The necklace was beautifully designed, it was, as I said before, simple - yet elegant. The font is clear and easy to read (Rachel uses individual steel letter stamps) - and I don't know the technical name of the font that is used - but it's appealing and for most of her items, you can choose between a few.
The name I had etched into the sterling stood out clearly, and the chain was delicate and added to the necklace.

I  think Rachel, from what I've seen of her work, has high standards for her work & what she expects from herself. What she produces is definite proof of that - she has a flair for what she makes, and it comes across in her craft.

When a baby is born and the proud parents first name their child, the baby doesn't actually look like a "Bella" or "Jack". But they grow into it - I feel that way about Rachels work - it grows to fit whomever it's intended for - and it takes some serious talent to pull that off.

A lot of what Rachel has in Personally Forever are all things that would make fantastic gifts for anyone, & as there is such a variety, you could but something for nearly anyone in your life from Mother-in-Law to your child's teacher. Everything can be personalized, and there is so much to pick from. There are also customized pendants for your pets!

Rachel has a creative flair I liked, her work shows different moods, tastes and designs. Personally Forever is a creative place to shop, as you will most likely find exactly what you want there, and I highly recommend taking a look around her store - she is a true artist in her craft!

As always, I asked Rachel some questions to gain an insight into what and why she does what she does. Here's what she had to say ...

When did you realize you had a talent for Hand-Stamped jewelery?

I've always been creative- oil painting,watercolors, writing- so jewelry design was a natural extension of this. I opened another etsy shop called Racholly in '08 with traditional bead and crystal jewelry. I knew that personalized jewelry was really hot and wanted to incorporate it into my shop. Once I realized how unlimited the design options were I just decided to open a 2nd shop, exclusively for the personalized line. I love coming up with new designs and I think its something that the more you do, the better and more creative you get.

Do you think if you were a SAHM it would be difficult to continue running a company?

Well, I know it would be much harder in terms of time management- I don't have kids but I have 2 dogs (a yorkie & lhasa apso) and a cat (Russian blue) who can be very demanding of attention from me and exercise and I have actually learned to work more efficently during my 'work time' so that I get things done and still give them the full care they deserve.

What one thing can you never leave home without?

I never leave home without a book- I have one in my purse at all times so I can steal in a few minutes of reading while I'm waiting at the vet's office or getting my hair done.

I love the 'book' answer - I love to read, and there's nothing better if you have to wait - it might as well be done productively!
